Saraji contract win

Date: 24-Sep-2015

HSE has been awarded a two-year contract with a one-year extension for the supply and maintenance of equipment and provision of operators at the Saraji Mine, effective 1 July 2015.

BMA recently advised HSE of the successful outcome following a tender process.
HSE has been providing mining services to BMA at Saraji since 2011. During that time, we’ve flexed to meet the customer’s requirements, reducing and increasing our fleet size as required. As part of this new contract, we are once again increasing our services. During the initial period of the contract we will be running three excavator fleets. We have also changed the fleet profile to run CAT 793Fs across the entire fleet, in addition to three Hitachi excavators – a 5600, a 5500 and a 3600.
HSE Managing Director Allan Fidock said HSE had won this work in the midst of a very competitive market. “Now we have the contract in hand we must make every effort to better position ourselves as a safe, cost-effective and efficient operator for when the market stabilises. We have a good foundation and if we continue to drive productivity while always staying focused on making good decisions 100 per cent of the time, we can meet the challenges and be a strong company for when better conditions prevail.”
Thank you to all involved in winning the contract, and to the production and maintenance crews who work day and night to deliver excellent service to BMA.
