Saraji achieves 12-months Total Recordable Injury Free

Date: 24-Sep-2015

Our HSE Saraji project reached an exceptional milestone at the end of March this year by achieving one-year Recordable Injury Free which brought our site TRIFR (Total Recordable Injury Frequency Rate) down to zero.

Ian Jolliffe, HSE Project Manager – Saraji, acknowledged that this was an excellent achievement by all involved. “It goes to show what we are capable of when we put our mind to a task. What makes this effort so exceptional is the changing work environment that occurred over this period. We had reductions in our workforce, uncertainty with our contract, significant change to the contract structure and then at the end of the year a substantial increase to our workforce with an extra fleet and several short term contracts.”
“I would like to thank my supervisors and employees for their vigilance in ensuring work areas are kept to a high standard and that they take the time to understand and apply the site procedures. This achievement can only be reached when everybody makes the right decisions 100 per cent of the time,” Ian said.
To recognise this significant achievement each crew has had a site BBQ and been given a polo shirt to remember the occasion. As part of HSE’s recognition program the HSE Saraji team has also chosen to donate to two charities: Kids with Cancer and CQ Rescue.
